Happy New Year from England! Although I know it may be a clichè, to most, to make a big deal of an arbitrary day of the year, but I like the notion of starting fresh and striving for a better me. The metaphorical and symbolical significance of the day inspires me to dream big about the future and think about my own personal goals - those things I have put-off and should probably focus on and make a priority in my life.
I want to embrace the rest of my time in the UK. I want to be more productive with my research and career, such as writing more proposals for conferences, digging in deeper to my dissertation, taking advantage of more opportunities with the Departments of Education at both the University of Oxford and the University of Buckingham, getting published in an academic journal, and finding as close as I can to my 'dream' job for next year.
Feeling positive about 2016!
